A half-speed mastered 1LP black vinyl of “Making Movies”, the third studio album by British rock band Dire Straits, re-issued for National Album Day in the UK to celebrate the 2024 theme of ‘Great British Groups’. It will also be available to the rest of the world (excluding US)

The album includes the single “Romeo and Juliet”, which reached number 8 on the UK Singles Chart, as well as “Tunnel of Love,” featured in the 1982 Richard Gere film An Officer and a Gentleman. This limited edition release features a new reworking of the album artwork, reversing the red and blue colours of the original.

The half-speed master vinyl format is cut using a specialist technique – an artisan process, overseen by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios in London, which results in cuts that have a superior high frequency response (treble) and very sold and stable stereo images.
